Over the summer I thought I’d do a lil series called “Adventuring to…” wherever I am going, to write down everywhere I have visited over the summer as I have a few very exciting things coming up.
I often go to Cambridge as I only live around 40 minutes away, but I absolutely love it. Yesterday, much to my brother Josh’s delight I drove us to Cambs. It was crazy hot, and pretty busy, but dreamy all the same.
We did the obligatory look round the Grand Arcade where there were sales everywhere, so I may have bought some things that I 100% didn’t need. Great start to the summer savings yep. Then after a stroll through the Markets and by King’s College we went to Honest Burger Company for lunch, and dayummm.
I had a Tribute burger, with no bun and salad, whilst mon frere had an Honest burger, will chips an all. Yass, we left two v happy Bacons.
Then we grabbed a bottle of water and walked along the river by Queen’s college and Trinity College. It’s such a nice little stroll towards the river and the queues of people waiting to punt, I felt v sorry for the ambition people who decided to not have a tour guide and steer themselves, whilst they puffed and sweat buckets.
The city was still buzzing with students; there were marquees being set up for potentially more balls, end of year parties, or other summer events. It reminded me how different it is to York, it’s a little bigger, more historical and it just feels more homely, because yanoo I’m a southerner for life. It also made me really excited for third year in York, to go back in September and continue having a ball with my friends and finishing up that degree ahhh.
Yep, so it was a super nice day, and a really good start to the summer holidays, unlike today where I’ve replied to emails, sorted money out, spoke to my dissertation supervisor and started the reading for my dissertation eek.
