My favourite Spring Midi Dresses

A few years ago in my final year at University I discovered a new love, midi dresses. I had until that point been a mini dress girl, but after wearing my Summer ball dress (pictured here) I realised I much prefer a slightly longer, whimsical, sit wherever you like, midi length dress. There’s something very Elizabeth Bennett and freeing about it.

Over the years I’ve accumulated an abundance of midi dresses and I thought I’d share some of my absolute favourites at the moment (see my reel here for the dresses in action). There’s one of two maxi dresses, or midi dresses that are disguised as maxi dresses as that’s what you get when you’re 5’4 and there isn’t a petite version. But I love them nonetheless and I’m impatiently waiting for the day it’s warm enough to wear them outside the house again!

First up we have that sell out New Look Gingham dress of dreams at £29.99. It comes in and out of stock so you have to act fast to bag it! It also comes in Petite and Curve size too.

If you don’t love a dress and buy it in every colour did you even love the dress? Yes it’s the sell out dress for £29.99 but in blue this time.

Next up we have one of my favourite, Bridgerton-esque embroidered dress from ASOS. It’s currently half price at £16 but it’s only available in a few sizes!

Words cannot describe how much I love this shirred maxi dress from Next. It was a PR product, but I honestly could not love dress more if I tried! It’s £48 and currently available in all sizes.

Another beauty of a dress is this pink leopard print ruffle midi dress from Dorothy Perkins. I got this last Autumn but there’s still a few sizes left and it’s a steal at just £7 at the moment!!! But here’s a similar style dress in green if they don’t have your size, as I’m not sure it’ll be coming back (sad times). I may have to get the green one too…

Again, it’s an oldie but a goodie, this is an animal print midi dress from Oliver Bonas. It’s no longer on the website, but it’s always worth checking their midi dresses as they’re so flattering and comfortable!

I thought I’d share a few midi dresses that are currently on my Wishlist too!

I am definitely a mini dress lover, anything that makes me look a bit taller than 5 foot 4! I do love the look of midi dresses though, just not for me! xx
